The Bali Orphanage
“Where change happens.”
The Bali Orphanage is a very special place. With your first few steps inside you begin to realize that this is not just a place for kids to sleep and eat. Lives are changed here, and not just the lives of the children. From the visitors taking a day out of their vacation to Sister Ubertine with her 66yrs of volunteer service, it is rare that someone leaves here unchanged. It is actually very common for a person to come with the intent of giving, only to find that they leave refreshed with a brand new outlook on their own life. So please stay awhile and get to know the children and volunteers. Browse through the pictures and get a peek of what daily life is like here. Share a laugh with the kids jumping rope, or experience the priceless feeling of a “new” child cautiously extending their trust and taking your hand. Look closely and read the stories that are visible in the eyes of the children. It is our hope that you too will leave here refreshed and ready for the day ahead. Welcome to The Bali Orphanage…

samantha.burnes@hotmail.com
Hi Dewa, a group of 5 of us would like to come to your orphage to help out for a week. We can teach basic english, and mathematics, and also can teach fooball andbollywood dances. we plan to come sometime during mid october for abut a week. We will arange our own accomodation, please advice us on the transport arrangements, whether you can get us a driver to the orphange. Terima Kaseh.
Hanley
Hi Hanley! Dewa is no longer helping with the comments here but I would be happy to help you. That is wonderful that you would like to help out and it sounds like you have some great friends as well. To get to the orphanage, just give contact Made and he can arrange transportation for you. just go to the “Transportation in Bali” page of this site here: http://thebaliorphanage.com/transportation-in-bali-reviews-recommendations/
Hi Dewa,
My friend and i will be visiting Kuta in the last week of January 2012. We both have children and would do anything for them. We would love to do something for the orphanage. We would happily donate anything we can. Between us we have 4 children and and 10 nieces/nephews and would be able to bring over the clothes thaty have grown out of if suitable. But they would be smaller sizes so not sure if you are in need I also read that most of the children are in need of vitamins. Would these be better off purchased once we reach bali and if so are you able to let me know where. As for craft is chalk appropriate? We just want to help in anyway.
Look forward to hearing from you soon
Thanks
Tasha
Hi Tasha! Forgive me if this is a duplicate as I have a feeling that we have connected already here or on facebook. Any of the items you mentioned would be great. (the chalk is a favorite for “decorating” the walls around the basketball court.) As for vitamins, the quality of what is available in Bali is not always so great, and the “good” stuff here is imported and expensive, so bringing them from where you are would be best. ANY clothes would be put to good use as the Sisters often visit remote and very poverty stricken areas of Bali. Thanks so much for helping out!
Hello dewa,
we have previously spoken to you about visiting you and staying with you for a month with the kids. is there any chance we could speak to you about some details and arrange a pick-up??
Thanks Lisa and Kelsey
Lisa and Kelsey,
I was sad to see that no-one had gotten to your question here. I hope you have been able to make contact another way. If you have not made your trip to Bali yet and I could be of help in any way, please let me know here and I’ll do my best to make it happen. Thank you for your generous offer to help.
Hi Dewa,

From;Mrs Marie Joserevet.
Dearest;
I am Mrs Marie Joserevet from United States of America. I am married to Mr. Clay Josereve who worked with a construction company in Ivory Coast for twenty Years before he died in the year 2004.We were married for fifteen years without a child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days.
Before his death we were both born again Christian. Since his death I decided not to remarry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which the Bible is against. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of $1.2Million with a Finance bank . Presently, this money is still in the custody of the finance bank. Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not last for the next Six months due to cancer problem. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to a church or trust worthy person that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct here in.
I want a church or God fearing someone that will use this fund for orphanages, widows, propagating the word of God and to endeavor that the house of God is maintained. The Bible made us to understand that “Blessed is the hand that giveth”. I took this decision because I don’t have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians and I don’t want my husband’s efforts to be used by unbelievers. I don’t want a situation where this money will be used in an ungodly way. This is why I am taking this decision. I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. I know that I am going to be in the bosom of the Lord.Exodus 14 VS 14 says that “the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace”. I don’t need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health hence the presence of my husband’s relatives around me always. I don’t want them to know about this development. With God all things are possible.
As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the finance bank. I will present and introduce your name to the finance bank as the receipient/new beneficiary of the fund. I want you and the church to always pray for me because the lord is my shephard. My happiness is that I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Whoever that Wants to serve the Lord must serve him in spirit and Truth.
Please always be prayerful all through your life.Contact me immediately you read this mail because, any delay in your reply will give me room in sourcing another person for this same purpose. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I Stated herein.
Hoping to receive your reply in this my mail box mariejosee20004@yahoo.co.jp .
Remain blessed in the Lord. Yours in Christ,
Yours faithfuly.
From;Mrs Marie Joserevet.

I would love the opportunity to offer/donate my time and service to you in any which way I can. I speak fluently German and English. I am a Restaurant Manager from Los Angeles California. Due to my professional maturity and my Management background, I will be a highly pro-active team member and I promise you, once I completed training, I won’t need direct supervision or micromanagement to get any jobs done. I am German, which means I am by nature very organized, reliable, self- responsible, and I have an extremely solid work ethic. I am practicing yoga and mediation, which makes me a generally positive, solid and grounded individual. I am humbly asking you to use me for any positions available. I can assure you that I am the perfect candidate to join your organization. Have a blessed day. Mirko Betz

Dewa has been very sick for a few days now, so communications are slower. Sister Corry has been writing me when she can. I hope to have some answers for you soon. Thank you for your patience. -charlie
Hi Leeanne,
If you want to give some donation for the orphanage, you can give it to the Sieter Ester directly. The donation can be Australian dollars or Rupiah. Thanks for your kindness.
Thanks again
Dewa
